DetailsThe Sloth, a unique and amazing animal.
Most of my projects start off with a simple sketch which then gets refined, but for this project I found that I needed more. So, I did quite a bit of research on the different types of Sloths and how they live. This research gave me a new appreciation for this magnificent animal, which I then used to create sketches that not only conveyed their lifestyle but also conveyed my admiration towards them.
This Sloth artwork is made from reclaimed lumber, which is hand cut and sanded. The background I paint by hand with arcylic and will be slightly different which each piece.
After assembly the entire piece is coated with layers of varnish for protection, and to enhance the wood grains and colors.
Because this piece is mad by hand using reclaimed lumber each completed piece will be a unique work of art.
The overall dimensions are :
23”L x 11"H x 1.75"D
A heavy wire is included on the back for hanging.

A long wait due to the hurricane, but worth it. Looks beautiful in our dinning room. Also, contact from the seller was very good, even with the time difference.
